Uttarakhand News: In Uttarakhand, BJP MP Anil Baluni met the Union Civil Aviation Minister regarding the expansion of air connectivity in Garhwal. During this, he has demanded from the Civil Aviation Minister to connect Ramnagar, Lansdowne, Pauri, Gopeshwar and Joshimath with Dehradun by air. Baluni, MP from Garhwal, also urged to remove the obstacles coming in the modernization of Gauchar (Chamoli) airport soon.
BJP MP and BJP’s national media chief Anil Baluni met Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu in New Delhi on Wednesday in this regard and requested for air connectivity to expand air services in various areas of Garhwal Lok Sabha. The Union Civil Aviation Minister assured to take action soon after gathering information in this direction.

MP Anil Baluni urged the Union Civil Aviation Minister to consider connecting Ramnagar, Lansdowne, Pauri, Gopeshwar and Joshimath of Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency with Dehradun under the UDAN scheme and also remove the obstacles in the modernization of Gauchar (Chamoli) airport so that air connectivity in this region continues smoothly.

Baluni told the Union Civil Aviation Minister that geographically, Garhwal is a Lok Sabha constituency which has 14 Vidhan Sabhas and many of its areas are counted among the inaccessible areas of the country. Due to natural disasters, many areas of this Lok Sabha constituency lose connectivity. The road route is often affected. Due to this, the problem of migration from here is also becoming very big. Therefore, there is a great need for air connectivity in such areas.
On the demand of Garhwal MP, Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has given a positive response and assured quick action on all the demands.
