Delhi Drug Case: Before the voting of assembly elections in Haryana, the political stir between Congress and BJP has intensified. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while targeting Congress and Rahul Gandhi, said that Tushar Goyal, caught in the international drugs syndicate worth Rs 5,000 crore in Delhi, is the chief of the Youth Congress cell, which was appointed by Rahul Gandhi himself. The BJP leader had claimed that Tushar also has good relations with the Hooda family. Now Congress has hit back on this.
Had already expelled- Congress
Indian Youth Congress issued a press release condemning the allegations of BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi, calling them baseless. Youth Congress said, “He (Sudhanshu Trivedi) claimed that Tushar Goyal, the alleged mastermind of the Rs 5,600 crore drugs bust in Delhi, is the president of Delhi Youth Congress RTI Cell. Tushar Goyal will be banned from the organization on October 17, 2022 due to anti-party activities. He was expelled from and has not been associated with us since then.”
‘BJP is trying to tarnish its image’
Youth Congress said, “According to media reports, Tushar Goyal himself has confessed to the police that he was the former President of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress RTI Cell in 2021-22, but later he left the organization. It is clear from this that “BJP is trying to tarnish the image of Congress party and its leaders by giving false information. Instead of spreading half-baked political stories, BJP should trust Delhi Police to investigate and bring out the truth.”
Youth Congress said, “We urge Delhi Police to take strict action against those arrested in the alleged drug bust… and not allow this to become a vicious political campaign.” With this, Youth Congress shared some important facts.

- Tushar Goyal has not been associated with the Indian Youth Congress or Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress since his expulsion in 2022.
