Sharad Purnima 2024: Sharad Purnima will be celebrated on 16 October 2024. Every year, the full moon date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month is called Sharad Purnima. In West Bengal and Odisha, it is believed that by performing puja properly, a person gets relief from financial problems and increases happiness and prosperity.
Lord Krishna had created Maharas Leela on Sharad Purnima (Ras Purnima 2024)
There is a mythological belief that Lord Krishna composed Maha Raas on Sharad Purnima only. On this day, special worship of Moon God is done and Kheer is offered. Kheer is kept under the sky at night. It is believed that due to rain of nectar even kheer becomes like nectar. According to the scriptures, the Moon is closest to the Earth on this date.
