Trending Videos: Pakistani javelin throw star Arshad Nadeem on Wednesday gave his first Independence Day speech after winning a historic gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Nadeem is Pakistan’s first individual Olympic champion. The 27-year-old won the gold medal with his Olympic record throw of 92.97. Arshad Nadeem managed to bring the gold medal for Pakistan by snatching the lead from Indian rival Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

In a video, Arshad Nadeem, dressed in a white and green shirt, congratulated the country on Pakistan’s Independence Day and urged citizens to remain united just like the whole country was united when he won the historic gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Nadeem said, “On Pakistan’s Independence Day, I appeal to the people of Pakistan to take a pledge to remain united on this day, just like on August 8, when I won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, we saw a wave of happiness not only in Pakistan but also among Pakistanis around the world.”
