NCRTC Last Mile Connectivity: NCRTC is engaged in providing the best and high-level facilities to the passengers on the Namo Bharat trains running on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor and its stations. This is the reason why the maximum emphasis is being laid on the plan to provide last-mile connectivity to the passengers. So that NCRTC can prove helpful to maximum number of passengers in reaching their final destination.
Under this scheme, NCRTC is constantly in touch with feeder operators, cabs, autorickshaws and bike taxi service providers. To expand these services, NCRTC has again sought tenders from people on a large scale. This tender has been sought for all 25 stations from Delhi to Meerut.
Abhi from here to here last mile connectivity
With the start of Namo Bharat trains, NCRTC is also making efforts to provide last mile connectivity to the people at the stations. In order to provide rental two-wheelers and bicycles to the passengers at the stations, Namo Bharat trains are currently being operated in a 34 km section from Sahibabad to Modi Nagar North.
For the last mile connectivity for the convenience of passengers at the stations falling in this section, NCRTC has provided electric buses of Ghaziabad City Transport Services Limited, under which electric buses are providing last mile connectivity to the people on 7 different routes at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, DPS Rajnagar Guldhar, Duhai, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South and Modi Nagar North stations.
10% discount on Rapido Bike Taxi
Rapido taxi facility is also available for the convenience of passengers. For passengers traveling in Namo Bharat trains on the RRTS corridor, passengers using Rapido bike taxi are being given a 10 percent discount on fare. At present, this facility is available at Ghaziabad and Sahibabad RRTS stations. Soon this facility will be available for passengers at other stations as well.
NCRTC sought suggestions from passengers
To further enhance the last mile connectivity options at RRTS operational stations and to provide last mile connectivity at all future operational stations, NCRTC has now invited tenders from service providers for the entire corridor.
For this, tenders have been invited for electric-CNG powered shuttle-bus service for point to point connection from RRTS stations, pre-paid electric-CNG powered taxi services, app based electric-CNG powered cab service or electric-CNG powered autorickshaw service with prepaid meter, or electric-CNG powered sharing service, sharing e-rickshaw service, two wheeler bike taxi service for point to point mobility from stations, two wheeler rental service, rental bicycle service from stations, electric-CNG rental car service from stations etc. Apart from this, NCRTC also plans to provide many other facilities to the passengers.
