Mother’s place is the best. In our scriptures too, mother is considered to be a form of God, hence it is said that God cannot reach every place to help you, hence he created mother.
No evil power can touch the child while the mother is alive. Therefore, the mother alone is the biggest protector of her child. Let us now look at the scriptures and know what the scriptures say about the importance of mother-
- According to Rig Veda 10.17.10, mother purifies us from sins.
- According to Atharva Veda 9.5.30, respect your mother and stay close to her.
- According to Devi Purana 3.4.30, O Mother! This entire universe exists in you.
According to Skanda Purana, Maheshwara Section 6.108:–
There is no shadow like mother, there is no support like mother. There is no protector like mother and there is no dear thing like mother.
According to Mahabharata Anushasana Parva 23.93:–
Mother and fathers should take care of themselves and their children. Bhaatrunam chaiva sasnehaste narah swargagaminah ||93||
Meaning – Those who serve their parents with controlled senses go to heaven.
According to Mahabharata Anushasana Parva 31.12:–
This power to fill the servants: Continuous devotion. Bhunjate devaseshaani tan namasyami Yadav. 12. Meaning – Gods bow down to those who take care of their parents.
According to Mahabharata Anushasana Parva 73.11 :–
Maataapitrorarchita satyuktah।।
Meaning – The person who worships his parents gets a place in Golok (the ultimate abode of God).
According to Mahabharata Anushasana Parva 104.43:–
N chabhyudhitashaayi syaat atonement and bhavet. Meaning – Every morning after waking up, first greet your parents. This gives you longevity.
