Manish Sisodia Bail: The Supreme Court has granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Friday, 9 August. After this decision of the Supreme Court, the AAP leader will be able to come out of jail after 17 months. According to Tihar sources, Manish Sisodia can come out from Gate No. 3 of Tihar Jail.
Manish is lodged in Tihar Jail No. 1. Prisoners lodged in Jail No. 1 exit the jail through Gate No. 3. According to sources, if there is any concern about security, then they can exit through any other gate.
When will Manish Sisodia come out of jail?
According to Tihar Jail sources, the time of getting the bail order will depend on what time Manish Sisodia will be able to come out of jail. According to the rules, the Supreme Court’s order will go to Rouse Avenue Court. The bail bond will be filled in Rouse Avenue and the rest of the bail conditions will be fulfilled. After which the bail order (warna) will be sent to Tihar Jail from the court.
When was Manish Sisodia arrested?
Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on 26 February 2023. After this, on 9 March 2023, the Enforcement Directorate arrested him from CBI custody. After the arrest, Sisodia’s several petitions in the trial court, High Court and Supreme Court have also been rejected. After the arrest, the CBI had said that it had arrested Manish Sisodia on the basis of investigation into the irregularities in compliance with Delhi’s liquor policy.
What is BJP’s response?
After Manish Sisodia’s bail decision, BJP national general secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam told ANI, “Bail does not mean acquittal. He is still a culprit.”
The BJP national general secretary said, “He will be punished for this. He does not need to get excited and mislead the country, Delhi and the court.”
Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal posted on Instagram and wrote, “Very happy with Manish ji’s bail. Hopefully now he will take the lead and take the government in the right direction.”
A few months ago, Swati Maliwal had accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his PA. She had accused CM Kejriwal’s PA of assault and indecency.
