Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 MVA dispute between Congress and Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena on these 6 seats of Mumbai ANN

Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: There are indications that Maharashtra assembly elections will be held in the second or third week of November. In such a situation, political parties have started preparations. Deliberation has begun regarding which party in the alliance will contest on how many seats. Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi is deliberating for the next three days to decide the seat sharing formula.

In the three-day meeting of MVA, the first discussion is on 36 assembly seats of Mumbai. Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction and Congress party want to contest elections on maximum seats in Mumbai. According to sources, Shiv Sena Uddhav faction wants to contest elections on all those seats where the party contested elections in 2019. Let us tell you that there are six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai and there are six assembly seats under each Lok Sabha, that is, there are a total of 36 assembly seats here.

Out of the six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai, three are contested by Shiv Sena Uddhav faction MPs and one each by Congress, BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde). It is being said that for the assembly elections, Shiv Sena Uddhav faction wants to contest on 20 seats, Congress on 18 seats, Nationalist Congress Sharadchandra Pawar faction on 7 seats and Samajwadi Party on one seat. At present, this claim of the parties for 36 seats of Mumbai is not possible.

5- Jogeshwari East
6- Mahim

There are three seats in Mumbai where all three major parties want to contest the elections
1- Kurla
2- Versova
3- Ghatkopar West

There are five seats in Mumbai where all three parties are avoiding contesting elections
1- Mulund
2- Vile Parle
3- Borivali
4- Charkop
5- Malbar Hill

Shivsena UBT wants to contest elections on these 20 seats
Shivdi Byculla, Worli, Mahim, Chembur, Bhandup West, Vikhroli, Magathane, Jogeshwari East, Dindoshi, Andheri East, Kurla, Kalina, Vandre East, Dahisar, Wadala, Ghatkopar West, Goregaon, Anushakti Nagar, Versova.

Congress wants to contest elections on these 18 seats
Dharavi, Chandivali, Mumbadevi, Malad West, Sion Koliwada, Colaba, Kandivali East, Andheri West, Versova, Vandre West, Ghatkopar West, Kurla, Byculla, Jogeshwari East, Malabar Heel, Mahim, Borivali, Charkop.

Nationalist Congress Sharadchandra Pawar Party has demanded these seven seats
Anushakti Nagar, Ghatkopar East, Ghatkopar West, Versova, Kurla, Andheri West, Dahisar Samajwadi Party
