Amidst all the preparations, CM Yogi has directed to pay special attention to the beauty of the Sangam bank and the renovation of the Bade Hanuman temple, which is considered the Kotwal of Prayagraj. Along with the beautification of the temple, the construction work of the corridor is progressing rapidly.

Due to the efforts of CM, the beautification of the temple is being done historically. Under the change in the form of Late Hanuman Temple of Prayagraj, first of all the sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be enlarged. Along with this, parikrama path, shops, parking, entrance gate, night shelter and havan kund etc. are being built. After the Sangam bath for the first time, the temple of Bade Hanuman ji will attract the devotees and the public coming to Mahakumbh in an unprecedented manner.
The temple has mythological importance
Work is going on 24 hours for the beautification of the lying Hanuman temple, which is considered the Kotwal of Prayagraj. This statue of Hanumanji faces south and is 20 feet tall. There is a mythological belief about the Bade Hanuman Temple that after the victory over Lanka, when Hanuman ji was returning with the army, he felt tired. After this, on the advice of Mother Sita, he lay down here on the banks of Sangam. Keeping this in mind, the temple of Hanumanji lying down was built. It is believed that the water of Ganga touches the lying idol of Hanumanji and then descends.
