The central government called an all-party meeting on Tuesday regarding the current situation in Bangladesh. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, who was present in the meeting, also asked questions to the central government.

According to sources, Rahul Gandhi asked the government about its immediate and long-term strategy in the all-party meeting. Rahul Gandhi also wanted to know whether there was a foreign hand behind what happened in Bangladesh?

Foreign Minister Jaishankar replied

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar presented the government’s side in the all-party meeting. In response to Rahul Gandhi’s question, he said, the government is keeping an eye on the changing developments in Bangladesh. It was also told that a Pakistani diplomat had put a DP with a picture of the movement on social media, information about which is being gathered.

What did the government say in the meeting?

Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister after violence and protests spread over reservation in Bangladesh. Hasina came to India after the fall of the government. However, the situation in the country is not so dire that our citizens have to be evacuated from there. The government said that a total of 20000 people were stranded.
