At the same time, there is a huge shortage of weapons in Israel as well. Meanwhile, Israel is fighting with Iran and Hezbollah along with Hamas. In such a situation, Israel is also buying ammunition in large quantities from America, but America has refused to give many types of weapons. Meanwhile, a Reuters report has created a new uproar over Made in India cannonballs.
The Reuters report claims that the artillery shells that India had sold to Western countries have now reached Ukraine, which has angered Russia. The report says that Russia has raised the issue with India on at least three occasions regarding this issue. This includes a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Sergei and Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. At present, India has tried to calm the matter by sharing information on this report. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has said on this issue that the claims made in the report are nothing more than ‘speculation and misleading’. Before exporting its weapons, India inquires whether it will be re-exported to another country.
Israel had asked for cannon shells from India
According to Indian armament export rules, only the country to which India exports defence material can use it. Apart from this, a report in The Hindu quoted sources as saying that in the early days of the Gaza war, Israel had demanded 155 and 105 mm artillery shells from India, but India has taken a policy decision that it will not export these weapons to Israel. The source said that both Israel and Russia are friendly countries of India, but due to policy decisions, war material will not be exported to both the countries.
Indian drones reached Israel
The report said that India is stuck in a very difficult situation due to the war between Israel, Hamas and Ukraine. Both Russia and Israel are close friends of India. Russia supplies the most weapons to India. Despite the increase in defense agreements with America, Russia remains in first place in terms of arms export to India. Adani has exported Hermes 900 drones to Israel, along with this some explosives have also been sent from India to Israel, after which Palestine is furious. Opposition parties of India have also demanded not to supply weapons to Israel.
